Hope in the Humdrum

Sermon Notes

#aChurchtoCallHOPE
“Hope through the Humdrum”
1 Peter 1:3-5
Justin Culbertson
5 August 2018
1 Peter 1:3-5

3 Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, 4 to an inheritance that is imperishable, undefiled, and unfading, kept in heaven for you, 5 who by God’s power are being guarded through faith for a salvation ready to be revealed in the last time.

Today’s big idea: Our _______ flows out of our _________, and our __________ is to glorify God and enjoy him forever.

Discussion Questions:

In what areas of your life can you see a greater need for hope?
How do you apply your purpose in your work, school, and relationships?
What are the hope dealers and hope stealers in your life?
