MINISTRY RESIDENT - AYM
Justin Shin
Justin was born and raised in Northern Virginia with Christian parents who faithfully served, and still serve, in the Korean church with their musical gifts. It was not until middle school that he found a small church right behind his house, where he found a loving youth pastor and community. He attended on his own accord and came to personally know and experience the love of Jesus. This same church is where he would meet his wife, Esther. They got married in 2023 and now are eagerly anticipating their first baby girl!

Since high school he has carried a desire for pastoral ministry. This desire was fueled and tested through serving in various contexts within the local church and at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship at Virginia Tech (go Hokies!). After graduating from VT in 2021, he went straight into the corporate world, and the quest for ministry seemed to come to a halt.

It was not until 2024, after being encouraged by a pastor to pursue seminary, that he began his Master of Divinity at Reformed Theological Seminary in DC. He is currently taking classes as a part-time student while still working in the corporate world. In that same year, Justin and Esther would shortly after find a home church in ABC. As he continues to navigate what stepping into ministry looks like, he’s grateful to ABC for investing not just in what he can provide, but in his soul and walk with Jesus.

Justin enjoys basketball, volleyball, video games, board games, movies, shows, and both listening to and playing music. Most of all, he loves to walk with brothers and sisters in Christ through all seasons of life, encouraging one another to persevere and keep their eyes on Jesus!
