Women's Ministry Events

IGNITE | SUNDAYS, 12:30-2:30PM
Ignite Sundays
For the fall semester, Ignite Youth (6th-12th grade) will be meeting on Sundays after service from 12:30-2:30pm in room 107 and lunch will be provided for the students. The following dates are planned meeting times: 10/13, 10/20, 11/3, 11/17, 12/1, 12/8, 12/15. You can also check the Ignite webpage for the schedule.
DISCIPLESHIP | FALL MONTHLY
Book Club
A new Co-Ed book club has formed at ABC and will meet once a month this fall on Tuesday evenings in Room 106. The next meeting will be October 29th at 7:30pm. What can the call to discipleship, the adherence to the word of Jesus, mean today to the businessman, the soldier, the laborer, or the aristocrat, you or me? What did Jesus mean to say to us? What is His will for us today? Drawing on the Sermon on the Mount, Dietrich Bonhoeffer answers these timeless questions in The Cost Of Discipleship. Contact Joanne for more details.
SMALL GROUPS | SUNDAYS
Open Small Group
Not in a small group? We have an “open" small group that anyone can join after Sunday service most weeks from 1:00-2:30pm in Room 105 with Paul and Barbara Barnes. It’s an opportunity to grab lunch at ABC ($10), meet others, discuss the sermon, and pray for one another. Childcare can be provided, contact Joanne Tang for more details.
WOMEN | SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19TH, 10-11AM
Women's Restorative Stretching
Flow through a series of stretches while focusing on breath and intentional movement. Take time to be present and take care of yourself in this busy season! Please bring a mat and water and join us in Room 107 from 10-11am. For questions, please contact Grace Park. RSVP here.
MEN | SATURDAY, OCTOBER 19TH, 7:00-10:00PM
Brotherhood by the Bonfire
The Men's Ministry will be hosting a monthly men's gathering "Brotherhood by the Bonfire". Our next gathering is scheduled for 10/19 evening from 7-10pm at Ka-Loon’s house in the Fair Lakes area. This informal event is a time for us to have fellowship and connection. Sign up here to be included in email communications.

Turkey Vision Team
While our ABC team is in Turkey, our church family can support them in prayer by signing up and using this prayer guide for 7 days.
CARE | OCTOBER
Staff Appreciation
October is Pastor Appreciation Month & since we have the BEST Pastors & staff…we want to celebrate them & show them our appreciation alllll month looong!! There is a little table with post-its & pens in the lobby if ABCers could write a little thank you to any of the pastors or staff & post it on the Big Thank You banner!!! We will gather them at the end of the month to put in their individual baskets!! Lastly a reminder that there is a sign up genius if you would like some ideas & opportunities to give & serve them!! CHURCH | NOVEMBER 8-10
All-Church Retreat
Registration is now open for our All-Church Retreat, which will be held November 8-10, 2024 at Pine Creek Retreat Center, with speakers Mark and Jin Rood. The theme for the retreat is Rest for Your Souls - “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matt 11:28-30). Registration closes October 14th.
