JOSIAH CHA
Though Josiah comes from the Northern Virginia region, his family served as missionaries in Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan for ten years, making Josiah a complex composite of cultures. While at UVA ('15) and Grace Christian Fellowship, Josiah met the delight of his life, Jada, but later married in 2022, and both have just recently completed their masters of counseling and mental health therapy at Reformed Theological Seminary in Orlando, FL ('24) after Josiah's masters of divinity also at RTS ('22). Jada and Josiah will be concurrently resident therapists working towards their licensure in the state of VA, and are passionate about greater emotional and mental health in the Church.
What rest looks like for Josiah is playing or watching basketball, working out and playing sports with Jada, cooking, reading, studying, long walks with Jada (really, anything with Jada), photography, worshipping through music, and being with people. Josiah's preeminent desire is for the utmost intimacy with Christ for himself and all people. He desires to see the next generation know the Father, be delighted in and delight in Christ, and to be filled by the Spirit through the spiritual disciplines and abundant ways of worshipping Jesus in creativity. Not far behind that is a desire to see Lebron win a few more championships and MVPs, thereby cementing him as the GOAT for those still living in darkness in the shadow of MJ or lesser players.
